USDT into Bitget: decide the network on the sending side first

Start from what your sending wallet or exchange actually supports, then find the same network in Bitget Deposit, copy the right address and memo, and keep the transaction hash until the credit lands.

Most people open Bitget, copy the first USDT address they see, and only then look at what their sending wallet supports. That order is backwards. The sender decides which networks are even possible, and the Bitget address only makes sense once you know which of those networks you will use. Starting from the sending side turns a guessing game into a short matching exercise, and it is the easiest way to avoid the classic ticket where tokens left one chain and were expected to arrive on another.

Start with what the sender can do

Open the withdrawal screen of the wallet or exchange that holds your USDT and list the networks it offers for this token. Write them down in the exact spelling the sender uses. Note the withdrawal fee each network shows right now and any minimum amount, because those numbers change and are only accurate on that screen. If the sender offers only one network, your choice is already made and the next step is checking that Bitget supports it.

Find the matching entry in Bitget Deposit

In Bitget go to Assets, then Deposit, pick USDT and open the network list. Look for the network you chose on the sender, reading the full name and not just a short ticker, since some names look alike. Only after selecting it, copy the address. If Bitget shows a memo or tag field for that network, copy it as well; leaving it out is one of the few mistakes that a support ticket may not be able to fix quickly. A banner about suspended deposits on that network means stop and pick another route.

Paste, compare and send a small amount

Back on the sender, paste the Bitget address and compare the first five and the last five characters with what Bitget shows. Clipboard malware swaps addresses silently, so this check is worth the ten seconds. For a route you have never used, send a small amount first and wait until Bitget deposit history shows it as completed. Then send the rest using exactly the same network and memo. Save the transaction hash from the sender for each transfer.

When the explorer says done but Bitget does not

Confirmations on a block explorer do not always mean the exchange has credited the funds; some networks need more confirmations than the explorer considers final. Give it the time shown in the Bitget deposit notes. If it is still missing, open the Bitget help centre deposit form and include the network, the amount, the time and the transaction hash in one message. Nobody legitimate will ask for your seed phrase or login to speed this up.

Scenario checkpoint

  • List the networks your sending wallet offers for USDT before opening Bitget.
  • Select that same network in Bitget Deposit before copying the address and any memo.
  • Compare the first and last characters after pasting, then send a small test first.
  • Keep the transaction hash and use the official deposit form if credit is late.
